Salary: £35,745 plus £5,673 Market Enhancement with the opportunity to progress to a maximum of £39,186 plus £5,242 Market Enhancement per annum plus £1k one off Welcome Payment
Hours: 37 per week
Contract: Permanent

We are an innovative service working with children and young people aged 0-25 with disabilities. We are looking for experienced Adult Social Workers to work with our young people as they plan for adulthood and up to the age of 25.

This is an exciting time in a young persons life and you will support them and their families to make choices into adulthood. You will also work in partnership with education and health professionals ensuring that there is a smooth planned transition.

0-25 Specialist Autism Social Worker:

You have experience of working with people with ASD and be able to build good relationships with young people as they approach adulthood.

You will need an excellent understanding of autism and sensory awareness is required in the application of the Care Act assessment. A personalised approach is crucial in identifying and accessing the most appropriate support services and service pathways, including a strengths based approach to empower self direction.

0-25 Adult Social Worker

You will be experienced in working with young people with learning and physical disabilities. You will be working with young people as they approach 18 and into adulthood and supporting them to become full members of their community.

You will need to work with a wide range of partners ensuring that young people are able to build their independence.

Requirements:

Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
Experience of working with children and young people
Knowledge of legislation, guidance, policy, and procedures
Ability to complete robust assessments & to assess risk
Ability to work in a relationship-based way
Understanding of equality and diversity in Social Work
Ability to input and maintain accurate computerised information and records
Ability to work on own initiative managing and prioritising own workload under pressure and under the direction of the supervisor
Knowledge/experience of working with Disabled Children and Young People
Knowledge of legislation, guidance, policy, and procedure specific to Disabled Children and Young People
