Social Worker – Young Peoples Safeguarding

All about the Role

Are you a social worker who is committed to making a difference to vulnerable young people’s lives

Our Young People’s Safeguarding Team may just have the role for you!

Tight teams, manageable caseloads and life changing results is what gets us out of bed in the morning.

It’s a bold statement to make but we believe in better outcomes for children and young people, allied with job satisfaction for our team of dedicated social workers.

Do you believe in the power of the Family Safeguarding approach; with multi-disciplinary teams and positive results, delivered through significantly better outcomes for some of the most vulnerable and at-risk children.

Do you want easy access to complementary teams and services, ideally co-located in the same building, to make collaborative work much easier?

At Peterborough, the Housing, Children with Disabilities, Adult Social Care, Legal and other teams are all easily accessed within a purpose-built office, which benefits from large river and green space views and a city centre location that is also close to main road and rail transport links.

This is a rolling campaign so please don't wait for the closing date to apply; we aim to review all applications quickly and contact you soon after your first application.

All about You

All about our Team

Our team is part of an integrated service which means we are closely aligned with the Youth Justice Service and exploitation service. Our social workers work alongside a variety of people including police officers, health workers, psychologists, education workers, substance misuse workers.

(A lot of people, we know. This just means our jobs never get boring!)

Our evidence-based approach is restorative and creates a shared language and culture, where we focus on building relationships which support good outcomes for young people.

We are fortunate to have extensive support from Senior Management and Managers who truly want to see their team members progress and succeed.

You will be joining a team full of energy, curiosity and a whole lot of experience! We need you to come on board and share your knowledge and skills with us and collectively we will continue our journey to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable young people within our local community!

Does this sound like somewhere you could flourish? If so, we’d love to hear from you
