At Suffolk County Council's Stowmarket Children's Home, you will join a dedicated team providing round-the-clock care for up to 6 children and teenagers aged 11-17. We believe every child deserves a nurturing environment where they feel safe, supported, and empowered to thrive.

In this role, you will:

No prior experience is required – we'll provide full training and support. Excellent benefits include a funded Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare and monthly supervision sessions.

Travelling requirements for your role

We positively encourage the use of technology to communicate and engage, but in this role, you will need to travel, so you must either hold a full and current driving licence and have access to personal transport or meet the mobility requirements of the role through other reasonable and suitable means. Our residential homes are open 365 days a year and you will need the ability to work flexibly (shift work and weekend working are a core part of the role, including bank holidays).
